Flat Pack Table (Series I), 2007

Designed for the Melbourne Museum 'Fringe Furniture' exhibition, the Flat Pack Table (Series I) is a re-interpretation in plywood of ornate, period style furniture.  The utilitarian, snap together design and the choice of material used (plywood) establishes a deliberate contradiction with the historic period the work references.
